Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery
Highly successful orthopedic practice in the Northern Chicago suburbs is seeking a physician assistant to join their team!
This position will include a mix of first-assisting in the OR and seeing patients in the clinic, and you will work alongside a highly regarded fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon!
Ideal candidates will have experience working in orthopedic surgery or another surgical specialty, and recent graduates with orthopedic surgery rotations are also welcome to apply as this surgeon and the organization have excellent experience training new graduates.

Description:
- Full-time permanent position
- Orthopedic Surgery - Upper Extremity, Hand
- Monday-Friday schedule
- First-assist in the OR (2 days per week)
- See patients in clinic pre-op and post-op (3 days per week)
- Work one-on-one with a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon
- Very light call schedule - 1 in 10 weekends
- Call includes morning rounding at one hospital and occasional surgeries, but no additional phone calls or ER duties
- Receive weekend call stipend
Qualifications:
- Illinois Physician Assistant License
- DEA License
- Previous experience working in orthopedics or another relevant surgical specialty
- Clinical rotations in orthopedic surgery
